Dear Zygmunt,
Thank you for your email concerning the meeting on Saturday to establish
SIGNIS Poland.  Please give my greetings to everyone at the meeting and my
good wishes for your endeavours for SIGNIS.
I am afraid that I will be in Africa on the 22nd, visiting Namibia.
Two weeks ago I was able to attend the meeting of the six European assembly
delegates in preparation for the European meeting in October-November.
They were full of energy, especially with Jim McDonnel's leadership.  They
will be pleased to hear of the developments in Poland.
My best wishes to yourself with happy memories of my three visits to
Poland.

We see Signis starting in different countries. Argentina had a first
assembly a few weeks ago. The US will do it in october.
You may use the international statutes as a basis for your own statutes.

In some countries, they have established a national association (signis
member with voting right) but also accepted associate institutions (video
studio Gdansk?) and individual associates.
So, have an excellent meeting. Tell us soon what happened so that we may
publish it in Signis Info, Signis Media and through the webnews and the

Thank you very much for sending the information that Signis Poland was being
formed. I hope that your association will be very successful.
As President of Signis Europe I send my warmest greetings and best wishes
for the new organisation. I hope that in the future Signis Europe will be a
real resource for and service to national members. I hope, therefore, that
Poland can be represented at the Regional assembly in Rome between October
31st and November 3rd. Please let me know if someone is able to come. In any
case I would be delighted to hear of your plans and your views on how the
European organisation can best assist you in your work.
